AHKs provide Vocational Training to German Standards

For more than 30 years, very many AHKs offer initial and further vocational training services. They work in close cooperation with German companies.

The target groups are primarily the employees of the AHKs member companies. Proven vocational training concepts from Germany that are also applicable in the host country are implemented.
    

Annually some 3,000 young people take part in worldwide initial vocational training schemes organized by the AHKs. 1,200 examination candidates receive the AHK Certificate which provides them with a qualification to German standards for initial vocational training.
     
        

Annually some 20,000 people take part in AHK further vocational training courses for specialists and managers.
       

In cooperation with the Goethe Institutes, the AHKs offer the examination for foreign candidates in “Business German” (PWD). The aim of the examination is to provide evidence of a standard in business-related German language skills and to confirm that this language knowledge can be implemented appropriately in written and spoken German under the framework of professional activity.
   
    

The AHK education and training services promote the German language abroad. AHKs thus contribute to the promotion of German cultural and educational policies abroad.
